The Root Chakra is located at the base of the spine and is a red coloured vortex energy centre. It is the base chakra that all other chakras start to line on top of. The Root Chakra energetically rules over “grounding”. Our basic needs such as security, safety, food etc. An unbalanced root chakra can have us feeling ungrounded, “spaced out”, fearful, anxious, depressed. When we have a balanced root chakra, we feel safe, grounded, secure and able to support ourselves.
